I’m a WordPress developer and visual designer. I run a one woman creative studio based in Wichita, Kansas. My goal is to help female entrepreneurs, specifically career shifters over forty, who need a strategic web presence and brand identity system.
I am a female entrepreneur over forty who is self-taught in graphic and visual design, frontend development, and WordPress management. I primarily use WordPress, along with supplemental tools like Elementor, a page builder plugin, as well as my HTML, CSS and PHP skills to build engaging websites.
After spending a year working in an agency setting, I needed a break. But now, I’m excited to be back in my natural habitat, my home studio. I am more driven than ever to be a reliable resource for fierce female entrepreneurs.
Over the past few months, I have been thinking about how to share my knowledge of WordPress, web development, and brand identity. I also want to add value to my website. Can you guess what was recommended the most in order to achieve this? Writing a blog.
My goal for this blog is to reach my target demographic: female entrepreneurs over 40; a seriously ignored demographic. I understand what this feels like because I AM A WOMAN OVER 40 who works in the tech industry. I’ve learned a lot since I was first introduced to WordPress and now I want to share my knowledge. My ultimate dream is to help empower women to manage their own small business websites. Additionally, I hope that my blog will become a valuable resource for anyone who wants to learn more about WordPress management and brand identity systems.
A little HERstory: I started dabbling in WordPress in 2008, but I began teaching myself HTML and CSS in 2003. Between raising three children, completing my bachelors degree, and just life in general, I kept at it. I have used my digital marketing skillset to build portfolios for artists, create online shops, and help small business owners establish their social media presence.
From graphics to page layouts, I love helping female entrepreneurs cement their brand with a strong online identity. My mission now is to create a valuable virtual resource to help guide encore entrepreneurs toward becoming digital media savages!
